Fabulix fragt nicht nach Fotos deiner Handschrift oder Zeichnungen – diese Funktionen gibt es nur in Fabulix Schule. Fabulix enthält keine Analyse-, Werbe- oder Absturzberichtsdienste.
Beim Aufruf von fabulix.app verarbeitet unser Hosting-Anbieter Cloudflare technisch notwendige Zugriffsdaten (IP-Adresse, Zeitpunkt, abgerufene Seite, Angaben zum Browser). Wir selbst setzen keine Cookies. Im Browser gespeichert wird nur die gewählte Sprache. Schriftarten liefern wir selbst aus; das Logo „Laden im App Store“ wird von einem Server von Apple geladen, der dabei die IP-Adresse erhält. Links auf geteilte Geschichten (fabulix.app/story/…) leiten in den App Store weiter. Die frühere Adresse des Lehrer-Portals (fabulix-2baca.web.app) leitet nur noch auf das neue Portal von Fabulix Schule weiter.
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (sicherer und stabiler Betrieb der Website); für die gespeicherte Sprache § 25 Abs. 2 Nr. 2 TDDDG.
Konto und Profil, Anzeige von Geschichten, Speichern und Veröffentlichen von Beiträgen, Abstimmungen, Reaktionen, Folgen, Tinte, Federn und Bestenlisten.
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO (Nutzungsvertrag); für die Bestenlisten nach Land und Umkreis zusätzlich Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
Geschichten aus deiner Umgebung anzeigen und dich der Bestenliste deines Landes zuordnen. Der Standort wird nur abgerufen, wenn du die Geschichtenübersicht nutzt oder eine Geschichte startest – nicht im Hintergrund. Den Ortsnamen ermittelt die App über den Kartendienst von Apple.
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (Einwilligung über den Berechtigungsdialog von iOS), jederzeit widerrufbar in den Einstellungen von iOS.
Hinweise auf neue Runden in beobachteten Geschichten, auf einen gewonnenen Beitrag und auf das Ende einer Geschichte. Eine Benachrichtigung kann den Titel der Geschichte enthalten.
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a DSGVO (Einwilligung über den Berechtigungsdialog von iOS).
Jeder Text wird vor der Veröffentlichung automatisch auf unangemessene Inhalte (Beleidigungen, Gewalt, Hassrede und Ähnliches) geprüft; dabei wird auch die Sprache des Textes erkannt. Dafür geht nur der Text an Anthropic (siehe Abschnitt 6) – ohne Benutzernamen und ohne Kontodaten. Beiträge aus der Zeit vor dem 22. Oktober 2026 können außerdem sprachliche Hinweise (zum Beispiel zur Rechtschreibung) enthalten, die damals im selben Schritt erzeugt wurden; sie bleiben mit dem Beitrag gespeichert.
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. f DSGVO (berechtigtes Interesse an einem sicheren Dienst für alle).
Die KI schreibt eigene Vorschläge, über die mit abgestimmt wird, beginnt neue Geschichten und bewertet beendete Geschichten als Grundlage für die Federn. Dafür geht der Text der Geschichte an Anthropic – ohne Benutzernamen.
Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO.
Bilder: Zu einer beendeten Geschichte entsteht eine Illustration. Dafür schreibt die KI von Anthropic aus dem Text eine kurze Bildbeschreibung; nur diese Beschreibung geht an den Bilddienst Replicate.
Vorlesen: Eine beendete Geschichte kann mit einer künstlichen Stimme vorgelesen werden. Dafür geht der Text der Geschichte (Titel und Beiträge) an Google; die Aufnahme wird gespeichert. Damit beim Vorlesen das gerade gesprochene Wort hervorgehoben werden kann (Mitlesen), lässt unser Server die fertige Aufnahme einmal von der Spracherkennung von Google abhören (Cloud Speech-to-Text, Verarbeitung in der EU). Zurück kommen nur die Zeitpunkte der Wörter; wir speichern sie zusammen mit der Aufnahme. Die Aufnahme enthält ausschließlich die künstliche Stimme, keine menschliche Stimme.
Benutzernamen und Kontodaten werden dabei nicht übermittelt. Rechtsgrundlage: Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b DSGVO.

Fabulix ist eine Gemeinschaft: Andere Nutzerinnen und Nutzer sehen deinen Benutzernamen, dein Profilbild, deine Beiträge und Geschichten, deine Statistik und Federn sowie in der Bestenliste dein Land. Geschichten, die du startest, erscheinen bei anderen in der Umgebung ihres Standorts; dein genauer Standort wird dabei nicht angezeigt.
Fabulix kannst du ab 16 Jahren eigenständig nutzen, weil Deutschland die Altersgrenze des Art. 8 DSGVO nicht abgesenkt hat. Wer jünger ist, braucht die Einwilligung der Erziehungsberechtigten. Fabulix richtet sich nicht an Kinder unter 13 Jahren. Für den Einsatz im Unterricht gibt es Fabulix Schule.
Wir setzen die folgenden Dienstleister ein. Soweit Daten in die USA übermittelt werden, stützen wir die Übermittlung auf die Standardvertragsklauseln der EU-Kommission (Art. 46 Abs. 2 lit. c DSGVO), die Teil der Datenverarbeitungsbedingungen der Anbieter sind. Bei den bezahlten Diensten, die wir nutzen, verwenden Google und Anthropic die übermittelten Inhalte nach ihren Bedingungen nicht zum Training ihrer Modelle.

So löschst du dein Konto: in der App unter „Profil“ → „Account löschen“. Gelöscht werden dein Anmeldekonto, dein Profil mit Statistik, dein Profilbild, deine Reaktionen und Stimmen, die Einträge zum Folgen in beide Richtungen und nicht gewonnene Beiträge. Veröffentlichte Beiträge bleiben in der Geschichte stehen, weil andere sie mitgeschrieben haben – dein Benutzername und deine Kennung werden dabei entfernt und durch einen neutralen Hinweis ersetzt.

Fabulix zeigt keine Werbung, nutzt keine Analyse- oder Trackingdienste und erstellt keine Profile zu Werbezwecken.
Wir passen diese Erklärung an, wenn sich Funktionen oder rechtliche Anforderungen ändern. Bei wesentlichen Änderungen informieren wir in der App; das Datum oben zeigt den aktuellen Stand.

Fabulix does not ask for photos of your handwriting or drawings – these features only exist in Fabulix School. Fabulix contains no analytics, advertising or crash reporting services.
When you visit fabulix.app, our hosting provider Cloudflare processes technically necessary access data (IP address, time, page requested, browser information). We do not set any cookies ourselves. The browser only stores the selected language. We deliver fonts ourselves; the “Download on the App Store” logo is loaded from an Apple server, which receives the IP address. Links to shared stories (fabulix.app/story/…) redirect to the App Store. The former address of the teacher portal (fabulix-2baca.web.app) now only redirects to the new Fabulix School portal.

Account and profile, displaying stories, saving and publishing contributions, votes, reactions, following, ink, feathers and leaderboards.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (terms of use); for the leaderboards by country and radius, additionally Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Showing stories from your area and assigning you to your country’s leaderboard. The location is only retrieved when you use the story overview or start a story – never in the background. The app determines the place name using Apple’s map service.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via the iOS permission dialog), which you can withdraw at any time in the iOS settings.
Notices about new rounds in watched stories, a winning contribution and the end of a story. A notification may contain the title of the story.

Every text is automatically checked for inappropriate content (insults, violence, hate speech and the like) before it is published; the language of the text is also detected. Only the text is sent to Anthropic for this (see section 6) – without username or account data. Contributions from before 22 October 2026 may also contain language notes (for example on spelling) that were created in the same step at the time; they remain stored with the contribution.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a safe service for everyone).
The AI writes its own suggestions that are voted on along with the others, starts new stories and rates finished stories as the basis for feathers. For this, the story text is sent to Anthropic – without usernames.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Pictures: An illustration is created for a finished story. For this, Anthropic’s AI writes a short picture description from the text; only this description is sent to the image service Replicate.
Read-aloud: A finished story can be read aloud by an artificial voice. For this, the story text (title and contributions) is sent to Google; the recording is stored. So that the word currently being spoken can be highlighted (read-along), our server has the finished recording analysed once by Google’s speech recognition (Cloud Speech-to-Text, processing in the EU). Only the timing of the words is returned; we store it together with the recording. The recording contains only the artificial voice, no human voice.
Usernames and account data are not transmitted. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Detecting and preventing spam and misuse, analysing errors using server logs.

Fabulix is a community: other users see your username, your profile picture, your contributions and stories, your statistics and feathers, and your country in the leaderboard. Stories you start appear to others in the area of their location; your exact location is not shown.
You can use Fabulix on your own from the age of 16, because Germany has not lowered the age limit of Art. 8 GDPR. Anyone younger needs the consent of their parents or guardians. Fabulix is not directed at children under 13. For use in class, there is Fabulix School.
We use the following service providers. Where data is transferred to the USA, we base the transfer on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR), which are part of the providers’ data processing terms. For the paid services we use, Google and Anthropic do not use the transmitted content to train their models, according to their terms.

We do not sell data and do not share data for advertising. Data is only passed on to anyone other than the providers listed if we are legally obliged to do so.

How to delete your account: in the app under “Profile” → “Delete account”. This deletes your sign-in account, your profile with statistics, your profile picture, your reactions and votes, the follow entries in both directions and contributions that did not win. Published contributions remain in the story because others wrote it with you – your username and identifier are removed and replaced by a neutral notice.

Fabulix shows no advertising, uses no analytics or tracking services and does not create profiles for advertising purposes.
We update this policy when features or legal requirements change. We inform you in the app about significant changes; the date at the top shows the current version.
